We have been repairing kites since 2009 and over this time have repaired thousands of kitesurfing and power kites.
In the early days of the business we helped develop some of the techniques now widely used to repair kites, working in conjunction kite designers and manufacturers. We have evolved these techniques as repair materials have got better plus as kites have progressed. It's our attention to detail that sets us aside from our competitors, not taking the easy path. If a valve needs removing to get a patch underneath it, it comes off, if a wear patch looks better replaced, so be it. Our repairs speak for themselves but we never get complacent. Our whole business is based around our favorite saying, "You are only as good as your last kite repair".

What can we do? We can repair all land and water based kites whether they are LEI's, foils, twin skins, arc's or even whinnie the poo single line kites. If it is broken we can usually fix it.

Land based kites like foils and twin skins we can replace blown cells, rips in the outer skin of the kite, sew back ripped out bridals and even make up and replace bridals.

Water based LEI style kites we can do canopy rips, exploded leading edges, replace bridals, make and replace bladders, replace valves and one pump systems and repair struts.

Stunt type kites we hold carbon fibre rods, fiberglass rods plus some grommets and ends, lines and rip stop. We are able to make new spars from the shop instantly while you wait or add a few stitches if needed.

These are the most common repairs we get in but as we said, if it's broken we can usually fix it...

KITE REPAIR COST?

We have been repairing kites for so long we are able to give you a fixed price for your kite repairs. Ideally we need a photo of the damage emailed to kitemarecompany@gmail.com so we can see it to assess it. If this is not possible, call us on (01237) 238350 and explain the damage, we can give you a good idea of the price. As a guide:-

Kitesurfing kites-canopy rips tend to be £10-£80 depending on position and severity. Leading edge damage £40-£120 again depending on damage and bladder condition. Replacing worn trailing edge with sticky back dacron, whole edge £50. Lines and pulleys £10-£90 depending on amount and labour involved.

Land kites-Rips in kite £20-£60 depending on access. Cell replacement £20-£70 depending on size, position, damage and amount. Call us on (01237) 238350 for the shop/repair centre, email photos to kitemarecompany@gmail.com or if you are local pop it in, we will assess it and give a fixed price.

Please be honest with all problems with your kite! We charge a fair price for top quality repairs plus do check the rest of your kite during the repair process. If we find other issues eg. bladder leaks, worn areas, further damage, we will let you know and supply an extra quote for this repair.

BRAMBLES/NEEDLE GRASS

Due to receiving many kites in for repair that have been landed in brambles or needle grass  (pictured beside) please let us know. We can then give you an accurate quote saving us both from that awkward conversation and re quote.


Once a kite has encountered a spiking landing, it usually needs a lot of extra work. Depending on how many holes the bladder has,  the bladder normallly needs replacing, the edge requires sweeping out as thorns break off in the dacron therefore keep re puncturing the new bladder. We also vaccum out the edge to remove all loose thorns. We have a set procedure for spikey landings that mean your kite doesn't have any further issues.
