Swell Surf Boards....Made in Cornwall.

I drove down to Redruth to get more hire boards and have a look

With carrier costs constantly increasing it seemed silly not to collect the new hire boards ordered from Swell in Redruth, yes made in Cornwall!  I love the fact they are made in the UK from a factory a few hours down the road. The boards are well made and people love hiring these as it makes anyone a surf hero, they catch anything and put smiles on customers faces.
Swell make everything except the fins lowering the carbon footprint of the products. The core is molded then hand shaped before being covered in a soft foam, the whole process in completed in the same factory. If you damage the board badly or it's looking very worn you can also take it back to Swell for a re cover...Yep, they remove all the old foam and replace it with new using the existing core. This effectively gives you a new board at a fraction of the cost and reduces waste...LOVE IT.
Possibly not the best boards for a seasoned surfer but when starting our beautiful sport, a perfect choice. Due to the large surface area of the wideboys in our hire stock, the  board catches a ripple with only a few paddles, it's super stable meaning you can pop up in your own time and still be ahead of the wave. The Swell boards make sure you are surfing quickly, up and standing therefore enjoying your water time instead of getting frustrated plus we now have 15 in our hire stock here too.
As a shop I always select products/buy from companies/importers with a great product, great quality and from people I like and respect. I want to think my money is helping to make a difference to a family or area, not going to a board of directors and shareholders. Swell is owned by Jonny pictured above with my new boards on the roof ready to ship back to Devon, he is a wonderful human and doing a great job with Swell boards. We are proud to hire out these UK manufactured boards along side the Torq boards, we do offer a great range of surf boards for both the first time surfer right through to the advanced.

Want to surf here in Westward Ho!?  What are you waiting for? Starting at only £10 for 2 hours make today the day you start surfing, try these Cornish made Swell boards and get a big smile on your face as you walk on water.
